I agree with pretty much everything you said. You're so right about waiting too long before the chorus-that's what the panel said about my own piece. Much knowledge gained that weekend. Also you're right in thinking that you just need to write just because it's who you are, the money will come but should be secondary.

Mazz, nice summary of takeaways. I had one goal for the Rally and when a wall went up, I lucked out and found a door. That's what the Rally is about.

It was a blast as always. I'm glad we got to sit down and catch up. I love this whole group, it's so inspiring and empowering. Thanks so much for making some important points about the music submissions for the listening panels and also how important it is to be part of events like the Road Rally to connect. As much as I'm guilty of locking myself in, being busy writing music, we are in the people business, always have always will be. It's all about relationships.
